I think this book should be required reading for any business school student. Or even if you want to be more familiar with business, in general, The Personal MBA gives a good overview without scaring you off with too much technical detail. It was a pleasant surprise that this book was more than business; it included psychology and aspects on how to manage and improve yourself. It's one of my most gifted books.

Motivations to Read

I went to business school for underground and ended up teaching myself how to code while there and much earlier on fell in love with the art of learning in general. I know that I was probably going to skip graduate school and her straight into the workforce. I still wanted to learn more about MBAs. I heard that Josh's book took the self- learner's approach to acquiring some of the knowledge behind an MBA, which the perfect route for me.

3 Reasons to Read

  • Get better at managing yourself, strategizing and analysis
  • Learn the fundamentals and High-Level Concepts of Business
  • More information if you're considering an MBA, with additional resources for further business learning
