Before readingWhy I picked it up
This book seemed like the type of esoteric hidden gem that would be up my alley. I want to explore deeper theories about the mind and self-image, because I've had conflicted images about myself. I've also observed other people who I thought should have more courage due to their physical traits, seemingly be super riddled with anxiety.
After readingPosted
An incredibly insightful book by a plastic surgeon who explores how our self-image shapes our behavior and success in life. Even if someone changes their outside appearance, real change begins with your changing your internal view and belief of yourself.
Many people fail not due to a lack of ability but because their self-image subconsciously forbids success.
Three reasons to read it
- How select-image creates the floor or ceiling of what we can achieve.
- A time-tested self-help book.
- How to change your mind and self-image to grow as a person.
