Sometimes our minds are anchored to thoughts of the past or pulled toward worries of the future. The Power of Now helped me to get to the next level of mindfulness in the present moment. It's been a very influential book and has brought meditation into my life on a more consistent basis.
I wanted to tame my mind. My thoughts were all of the place, and my mind was a very chaotic place. I used to use video games when I was younger as a distraction as I could have my mind focus on virtual reality. However, I needed to be more mindful in real life. I heard good recommendations about this book and thought I'd give it a try.
