Do Hard Things

You can have all the time in the world, but what I’ve found matters is the courage to do hard things.
You build courage by doing things, you never thought you could do.
You build integrity by having the courage to stick to your principles and values even if you might disappoint others or become an outcast.
The courage to be alone, the strength to stand with someone.
We yearn for freedom and what most people need is more courage & kindness.
Be kind to yourself and others. When you do hard things, you need time to rest. You need to learn how to take care of yourself because you deserve it, not only because you earned it.
Effort is the present price you pay for future ease. Discipline is compassion towards your future self.
Find ways to bring rituals into your life that challenge you to do hard things. So that when unexpected hard things arise, you have capacity and capability to give effort to overcoming challenges.
I wondered what they meant by weak men create hard times, and looked around and realized I have a moral obligation to build strength and conviction. You don’t find yourself, you build yourself.
Take your life seriously, yourself less so. Be aggressive with your life, and soft with yourself and others.
To do hard things, you need to cultivate spiritual growth. Beyond the body and mind is the spirit. The spirit is how you transcend yourself to a greater purpose and deeper connection with nature and humanity. Our spirit is a projection of our soul, our soul is energy. Energy is real. With this energy we create beyond what the mind thinks is possible, can do beyond what the body feels is possible.
When they say pain is inevitable, suffering is optional, it is your spiritual strength that enables you to transcend that suffering.
It is hard being human. But it is even harder to be afraid of living life, because you are afraid of doing hard things. Do hard things.
