Is Ambition Counter to the Simple Life

A question I'm thinking deeply about:

Is high ambition counter towards living a simple life?
=> does grand ambition stem from ego?
==> can ambition be selfless?
===> what makes life more difficult than it needs to be?

I want to get into a habit of sharing some difficult questions that run through my mind all the time, hopefully, to spark more reflection in others as well as to open up more productive conversations.

I aim to launch a newsletter in November to spark more thinking.

Self-Reflection vs Self-Awareness

A question I've been thinking deeply about:

Can prolonged self-reflection, lead to more disconnectedness from others, anchoring to the past, hyper-self-criticism, and potential depression?

What is the difference between self-awareness and self-reflection?

Is being Consciousness a virtue that we have a responsibility to cultivate?

I finished reading How to Change Your Mind by Michael Pollan and some of the deep research in the book is leading me to re-evaluate a lot.\
